Itinerary

06:30 AM – Pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or airport and begin your drive north to Samburu via the equator line and Mt. Kenya region. 12:30 PM – Arrive at the lodge/camp for check-in and a hot lunch. 4:00 PM – Depart for an afternoon game drive along the Ewaso Nyiro River, the lifeline of the reserve. Look out for elephants cooling off by the riverbanks, leopards resting in acacia trees, and rare northern species like the gerenuk and Grevy's zebra. 6:30 PM – Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. 07:00 AM – After breakfast, head out for a full-day game drive with packed picnic lunch. Explore the diverse habitats of Samburu: from dry riverbeds and rugged hills to doum palm groves teeming with wildlife. Spot big cats, buffaloes, impalas, and hundreds of bird species. 12:30 PM – Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch in the bush, under the shade of acacia trees. 2:00 PM – Continue your game drive or choose to return to camp for a rest and optional cultural visit to a Samburu village (at extra cost). 6:30 PM – Return for dinner and overnight at the lodge. 06:30 AM – Optional early morning game drive for a final chance to catch predators in action. 08:30 AM – Return to the lodge for breakfast. 10:00 AM – Check out and begin the drive back to Nairobi, with optional stops along the way for lunch or photos at the equator line. 5:30 PM – Drop-off at your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
